Today the rain has been our constant companion since the
early hours of the morning, which means that we've
largely stayed indoors, taking in some fresh air only
from the comfort of our balconies. So, we took advantage
of this rainy Sunday to catch up on a few household chores...
I'll be the first to admit that having to keep such a small
space tidy, is so much more forgiving than trying to do the
same in our home back in Texas. Our 'piso' in all of its
50 square meter glory pretty much cleans up after itself...
But once a week, we are reminded of how much we
miss one particular creature comfort of home--
Around these parts, clothes dryers are not at all common,
and the majority of people rely on good old-fashioned
UV rays to get the job done...
Except of course when its pouring cats and dogs
outside; that's when we get really creative!
When the sun isn't shining here in S.S. we just
set our clothes on a stand, crank on the electric
heater and we are good to go in a matter of minutes...
Towels, however? Well that's a different story!
We usually give ourselves a cushion of two days
to get those suckers dry. I'm just hoping they'll be ready
in time for The Reading Guy's morning shower...
I'll see you tomorrow for Day 5 with a side of me
I am pretty sure you've NEVER seen before--
thanks for stoppin' in!
