We celebrated The Reading Guy's 35th birthday yesterday!
It was so much fun prepping for the dinner party, and spending
time in the company of some wonderful friends! I had a particularly
fun time setting the scene for the party, but I didn't quite get a chance
to share all of the details with you. And since there are a few cold and
rainy days in the local forecast (leaving me a bit short on blog material),
I thought it might be fun to split last night's festivities into three posts!
Today we'll start with the creative part--DECORATING...
We managed to turn our 'piso' into quite a festive little setting
by making the most of some really inexpensive materials, and
we ended up spending only 20 € to get the job done:
4 €: Roll of red plastic-y/paper'y material
for tablecloth, wall banner background, & bow
1 €: Paper doilies for banner
1 €: Red tying ribbon
1 €: Markers for banner letters
3 €: Balloons
2 €: Snow blanket for table top
2 €: Garland for table top surround
6 €: Santa hat pillow cases
And that's it! Everything was so simple to make, easy
to set up (and take down), and of course required such a
small investment that I couldn't help wanting to share with you...
Well, I'll see you tomorrow for Day 23, for some yummy
food and for a few easy pintxo recipes from the party!
Thanks for stopping in
