vacay over this long Thanksgiving weekend. Lest you
think I've been sitting idly by, I have a sneak peak of
what's been keeping me busy lately...
If you were guessing that my sweet Reading Guy
is celebrating a birthday soon, and that I am
shamelessly incorporating a holiday theme into
the festivities, you would be correct!
We are particularly excited that this will be the first
time we celebrate the big event here in Spain! Last year,
we spent his special day in Paris (lucky guy)...
And we've basically spent his birthday everywhere BUT
here, in our beloved San Sebastian. This year, though,
we will have a few of his friends over to our tiny piso for
some homemade pintxos and hopefully some good fun...
Ahead of this little get-together.
I have been keeping myself occupied making a few
simple, inexpensive crafts--like these snowflakes
made out of leftover cupcake liners from my
Christmas tree ornament project a few weeks ago...
And these food label cards I made using scrap paper and
a few markers. We will be serving various finger foods
at the dinner on Tuesday, and it is always nice to let the
guests know just what they are munching on...
I guess I couldn't resist even the most remote opportunity
to get a little creative. But REALLY, I'm just hoping that
The Reading Guy's big bash turns out to be as pretty as
it is memorable! I'll see you tomorrow for Day 22 and
in all likelihood--BALLOONS. Lots. Of. Balloons
