Our Easter celebration is usually spent at a ranch. You read that correctly...
R-A-N-C-H!
We are in Texas, after all.
Before marrying my wonderful Reading Guy, our family spent every Easter weekend at my father's family ranch--a mere 45 minute drive from our home--and Easter egg hunts were in order, a mouthwatering menu was much looked forward too, and of course there was what seemed like an inescapable and infinite amount of confetti fun to be had!
Once married, we began to celebrate Easter at the Reading Guy's family ranch! There the time flew as we indulged in late night card and board game marathons, delicious dining, dirt road tours of the Rio Grande, and listening to the sounds of rain showers on the hot tin roof. Ahhhh (sigh)...
Both Easter settings always made for an equally memorable, fun and altogether relaxing celebration. But lately it is becoming the slightest bit more difficult to decide where exactly we will spend our holidays--with one family, or the other, out of town, at our home?
So this year, in the event that we might be celebrating Easter HERE, at OUR home, I decided to whip up some...
EASY
INEXPENSIVE (emphasis here)...
and ENCHANTING...
EASTER DECOR!
And I wanted to share some of my ideas with you...
Here is our new Easter table...
Complete with new nest place card holders...
Bunny napkins...
Conversation-friendly height hydrangea flower arrangements...
Easter egg candy party favors...
And the centerpiece of our table--not entirely conversation friendly, hee hee...
We also added a splash of Easter to our sitting room...
More birds nests...
And the rest of our pastel colored eggs made their way in somehow, too...
Much of this Spring-sprucing up was done using vases, flowers, paint, linens, ribbon, etc. that we already had, and the few purchases that we did have to make totaled up to no more than $30!
Which means that now I won't break the bank once it is time to begin what is TRULY my favorite part of party preparation...
BAKING!
It isn't necessary to spend much in order to make much, and THIS finds me increasingly motivated to get our home into the festive spirit, no matter what the holiday may be!
Everyone wants their home to feel inviting, warm and sometimes even fun for any and every of their honored guests...
But your home's most important and most frequent guest will always be you! So, why not give it the chance to welcome you with open arms every day of the year...
I am happy to say that our home is now ready, willing and able to host an Easter celebration!
Here's wishing a healthy, heartwarming and HOPPY EASTER to everyone!
XOXO,

Nicely done! Very stylish and cohesive with your homes design!

Thank YOU Kristin, for giving us all the chance to share <3
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! I've always wanted to decorate for Easter, but never could figure out what to do or didn't think I had any "stuff around the house" for a starter. Yours is so charming.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Judy! Well, if you have any glass vases lying around and, quite literally, $10 to spare, you can whip up some Easter decor too! Half of that budget can be directed towards plastic eggs: fill one glass vase with all pink, another with all green, etc.-- the visual impact is that much stronger. The other $5 can go to moss and a few reduced price nests! DONE!
ReplyDeleteWell now it's time to do a tutorial on bunnie knapkin folding!!! Your whole Easter decor is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI followed a simple Martha Stewart tutorial, which is, incidentally, much more user-friendly than I ever could be! I always find her website to be a wonderful starting point for any holiday decor design planning! Hope that helps :o)
